The Range Rules are designed to keep our clients and staff safe at all times. We will not compromise on safety.

Safety is your responsibility.
  1. Keep muzzle pointed down range at ALL times.
  2. Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
  3. Keep action open and the firearm unloaded, except when shooting. Load firearms ONLY at the firing line.
  4. Hearing and Eye Protection is MANDATORY while in/on the range. No Exceptions.
  5. All firearms entering or leaving the range must be unloaded, and cased. Exception are Employees or Law Enforcement. These firearms must remain holstered until the shooter is in the stall and ready to shoot.
  6. No one is allowed inside the range area unless they have read these range rules, signed the liability waiver, and been assigned a lane by Boyd County Indoor Gun Range and Store staff. Do not change lanes without first receiving a new lane assignment from RSO.
  7. No Outside Ammo, Ammo must be purchased from Boyd County Indoor Gun Range and Store. Violators will be removed and no refund given. Boyd County Indoor Gun Range and Store has the right to inspect all items brought into Range. If you have questions about our ammo, ask RSO before use!
  8. Allowable calibers are:

Handguns – .22 rimfire through .50 caliber.

Rifles – .22 rimfire

  1. Never hand or pass a firearm to another person. Lay firearm on bench, and allow other shooter to pick up firearm.
  2. Only firing at your target is permitted. Across lane shooting is prohibited.
  3. Two shooters are allowed per lane. Only one person shooting in the lane at a time. All persons entering range will be charged accordingly. Parents with kids see RSO.
  4. No shooting from the hip, quick draw, holster draw, or fanning the hammer allowed.
  1.  Any person suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and or drugs will not be permitted to use the range.
  2. You are responsible for any damage to the range or range equipment caused by errant shots, careless or negligent firing. Any person seen firing at lights, baffles, carrier, walls, or any other range equipment will be removed from the range without refund, and barred from future use of the range.
  3. You Are Prohibited from Picking up brass Casings from the range.
  4. Boyd County Indoor Gun Range and Store reserves the right to refuse service to any individual who, in our judgement, would endanger the safety of our customers, staff, or themselves.
  5. Pregnant women are not allowed. Sound percussions are known to damage the unborn.
  6. When you are finished shooting or your time has expired, unload your gun, pack up your unloaded gun, clean up around your booth by throwing trash in the receptacle provided. Please inform the staff of any equipment that does not appear to be operating properly
  7. If you experience any problem with a firearm, leave it on the tray in the booth pointed downrange and notify the RSO.
  8. Sandals, flip flops, and open toe shoes are not allowed. Low cut tops and tanks tops are not allowed.
  9. Everyone using the range must be 18 years old or older, and is required to know these rules and to sign a liability waiver. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by his or her legal guardian who is required to supervise the minor at all times while the minor is on the range, and to sign a liability waiver with the minor and on the minor’s behalf. And No one under the age of 21 will be able to purchase ammo with out an adult.
  10. Only ammunition purchased at Boyd County Indoor Gun Range and Store will be allowed for rental firearms.
  11. Wash hands after shooting. Ammunition contains lead that may be harmful over a prolonged period of time.
